Guadeloupe Zoo

In the heart of the Basse-Terre massif, The Guadeloupe Zoo-Parc des Mamelles devotes 4 hectares of tropical forest to the conservation of rare or threatened animal species.

Located on the Route de la Traversée, on the edge of the Parc national de la Guadeloupe, this park is distinguished by the tranquility and the perfect natural character of the place.

It is a true Noah’s Ark of the modern age, and is home to some 85 animal species from the Caribbean and Guyana, divided into mammals, birds, reptiles and arthropods – over 450 individuals. All of them evolve in a lush greenery of more than a thousand plant species.
